My friend Katie is playing in the WSOP No Limit Shootout today.
For those not familiar with it, the shootout consists of dividing everyone into tables of 9 or 10 (not sure which) playing down till there is one winner. Then those winners combine into tables and play down to one winner. It’s kinda like The Highlander in that they keep repeating the process till there is only one.
It started at 12pm pacific time.
I sent her a text message at 12:23pm, “Have you won yet?”
29 minutes later she replied back, “haha I have a leggy image”
I’m assuming it’s cause she showed up Cake Style, but I have no idea what that had to do with the bluff she “had to show down” on the 2nd hand.
Anyway, good luck Katie.
I finally got everything set up over at Merge to start playing again and have donked around in a few of the super turbos. They play much faster than the supers at Full Tilt did, with a HUGE jump between levels 1 and 2 versus the more gradual jump at FT. But with a bigger rakeback % and the ability to get more volume in more quickly, they could be fun.
We’re less than 4 days away from me landing in Vegas for a week of sun, golf, a 51’s baseball game, hanging out with the TM people and, time permitting, poker. I’m really looking forward to this trip and hope it’s even more fun than the last one.
Catch ya in a week or so.
