145% ROI is sustainable…
…right Gnomey?
Sorry. That’s a bit of an inside joke between a friend and I.
Every time I come across a new game I seem to win the first few I play before crashing back to reality.
I’ve recently become enamored with the hyper turbo satellites on Stars. Of course just as I get comfortable with the structure, they go and change it up on me.
Instead of a 500 chips sat with blinds at 25/50/10 they change it to a 750 chips sat with blinds at 20/40/10 to start.
I dabbled in a couple (literally) before setting down to crunch some numbers on these.

Clearly that’s sustainable, right?
Of course, I wake up this morning, ready to dive into the new structure (which I think I preferred a little more) and they’ve changed them back to the original structure.
*sighs*

Reading Monteroy’s post yesterday also inspired me to break down and give a PLO DoN a try.
I know very little about hand equities in PLO, but have a pretty good grasp on DoN play.
Needless to say, I played like a donk (at least on one hand early), tried to steal blinds 2x in a row late with a shortish stack and hit my 8 outer to double up on the second steal attempt.
These could be a lot of fun.
Now I just need to figure out what the heck I’m doing. My hope is to soon graduate to being a dead money guy (DMG).
